Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northwestern Medical Center for a 13-week assignment. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
  • Current VT RT license.
  • National Registered Professional (NRP) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Schedule
  • 72 hours bi-weekly, every other weekend.
  • Typically scheduled 7p-7a.
