Job Responsibilities:

Calibration Technicians are responsible for conducting routine and intricate tasks related to the calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors.

In this role, individuals are expected to demonstrate the necessary expertise to perform calibration and maintenance in controlled environments, laboratories, manufacturing sites, and production areas.

Calibration Technicians are trained to deliver calibration services and potentially other support as required by clients. They execute these services based on their proficiency with various types of equipment. Some of the instruments serviced include:

  • Centrifuges
  • Incubators
  • Refrigerators and Freezers
  • Bioreactors
  • pH and Conductivity Meters
  • Temperature and Pressure Instruments
  • Humidity Instruments
  • HVAC Systems
  • Scales and Balances
  • Pipettes
  • Laser Particle Counters
  • Air Samplers
  • Dissolution Apparatus
  • Spectrophotometers
  • KF Titrators
  • Coulometers
  • Calipers and Micrometers
  • Mass Flow Controllers
  • Dissolved Oxygen Meters

Qualifications:

  • A combination of training and experience is utilized to assess the skill level required for the role.
  • Continuous skill enhancement through on-the-job training and education is expected for career advancement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is essential.
  • Capability to perform tasks independently with minimal oversight is required.
  • Adherence to Ellab's ISO 9001 and 17025 accredited Quality System and all client specifications is mandatory.
  • Experience with GxP, IndySoft CCMS, field service, and OSHA training is preferred.
