AIR QUALITY REGULATORY SPECIALIST
The San Diego Medical Examiner is dedicated to safeguarding public health by addressing the detrimental impacts of air pollution, ensuring adherence to air quality standards, promoting community engagement, and implementing effective programs.
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Air Quality Regulatory Specialist to fill a critical vacancy within our Compliance Division and to create a pool of qualified candidates for future openings.
The selected individual will be stationed in the San Diego area and will be tasked with resolving violations of air quality regulations set forth by the relevant authorities.
As an Air Quality Regulatory Specialist, you will also represent the organization during hearings and legal proceedings.
WORK SCHEDULE
The current roles may offer a hybrid work arrangement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in chemistry, physics, engineering, environmental health, environmental science, biology, or a closely related scientific discipline; AND; two (2) years of professional regulatory experience in air quality management or a related field; OR,
A master's degree from an accredited institution in the aforementioned fields; AND; one (1) year of professional regulatory experience in air quality management or a related field.
Note:
Additional years of experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
