Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care in the Arrhythmia Care Unit (ACU). As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide patient-centered direct nursing care to our cardiovascular intensive care unit step-down patients.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic care of patients with new onset atrial fibrillation, antiarrhythmic drug loading and dosing, and post-electrophysiology catheterization lab procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.
- Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when interacting with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
