Diesel Mechanic

Penske Logistics is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our roadside assistance team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers who require emergency repairs on the side of the road.

• Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls and diagnose issues with tractor trailers in various weather conditions.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
• Restock and maintain the roadside assistance vehicle with necessary tools and supplies.
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize and complete in-shop repairs as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

• 2-4 years of experience in tractor trailer maintenance and repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools and equipment.
• Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement, standing, and walking.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
• Ability to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
