Position Overview:
The KDB/KDB+ Consultant role is integral to the design and execution of new or modified application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary goal of this position is to contribute to the analysis and programming activities of application systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies, prepare time and cost estimates, and engage in IT planning and risk assessment.
- Oversee all stages of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, while providing operational support to business users.
- Utilize specialized knowledge in applications development to analyze complex issues, evaluate business processes, and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Recommend and develop security protocols during post-implementation reviews to guarantee effective system design and functionality.
- Collaborate with users and other technology teams to address issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and assist in system installations.
- Ensure compliance with essential procedures and contribute to the definition of operational standards and processes.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment and autonomy in decision-making.
- Assess risks associated with business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
