Key Responsibilities:

Cashier Duties:

  • Process customer transactions efficiently and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

  • Report any product issues, inventory discrepancies, or scanning errors to management.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stock Associate Duties:

  • Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.
  • Adhere to merchandising guidelines to create visually appealing displays.
  • Organize new stock and manage packaging materials appropriately.
  • Operate machinery safely and follow all safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Stocking associates must be able to lift products weighing up to 45 pounds and place them on shelves at various heights.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Capable of performing general cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
  • Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Familiarity with the company’s products and services.

Cashier Specific Skills:

  • Proficient in operating a cash register accurately.
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Stock Associate Specific Skills:

  • Ability to safely operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is advantageous.
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
