Job Summary

Holt of California is seeking a skilled Yard Technician to join our team. As a key member of our rental operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with rental returns and checkouts, ensuring equipment is in good working condition, and preparing machines for rental. If you have a passion for heavy equipment and excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with equipment returns and checkouts, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Conduct safety checks on equipment to ensure it is in the same condition as when rented.
  • Prepare equipment for rental by cleaning, checking fluids, and ensuring safety features are working properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, airing tires, and replacing minor parts.
  • Red tag equipment that requires repairs and work with rental coordinators and shop to schedule repairs.
  • Ensure equipment is in rent-ready condition, including steam cleaning and proper placement.
  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience a plus.
  • Valid Class C driver's license and clean DMV record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
