Job SummaryAs a Recreation Leader PT with the City of Marietta, GA, you will play a vital role in the operation of the Recreation Department. This entry-level position reports directly to a supervisor and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Franklin Sports Complex. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for recreation and community engagement, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce city ordinances, rules, and regulations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of programs and activities, including setup, supervision, and breakdown.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including litter pick-up, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Monitor and inspect facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with issues and happenings within the facilities, department, and community.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Some experience working in a recreation or camp setting is preferred.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and satisfactory driving history.
  • Knowledge of recreation programs and activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and youth in a recreation setting.
  • Current CPR/First Aid or AED Certification.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
