Nursing Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Intensive Care (IMC) unit at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients, including those with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, patients receiving IV thrombolytic therapy, and those with other neurological disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, coordinating care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of a plan of care that takes into consideration the individualized needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team, and actively participate in unit-based self-care activities.
- Develop and implement evidence-based practice, seeking guidance and feedback from peers and preceptors to continuously improve nursing practice.
- Identify and create a plan for the continuation of learning and development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in neurology nursing.
- Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Minimum Experience: 0-1 year of RN experience – successful completion of new grad orientation or successful completion of an RN refresher course for acute care nurses.
- Preferred Licensure or other certifications: National certification in clinical specialty as eligible.
- Preferred Experience: Previous specialty experience preferred, with a focus on expanding knowledge and skills.
