About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Affinity Recruiting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and directing the workforce to ensure safe production of customer requirements within specified lead times and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Management: Ensure compliance with PPE and safety procedures, correct behavioral or conditional risks immediately, investigate and write up accident reports, and report near misses and safety observations according to daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Quality Policy: Maintain a high level of quality in production processes and ensure that all employees understand their roles in achieving this goal.
  • Delivery On Time / IdleQ Management: Develop and follow a daily production plan that supports customer needs, manage department spending within budget, and optimize labor usage through tracking and straight/overtime hours.
  • Productivity Management and Times/Attendance: Assign work daily, move labor to operations necessary to support customer requirements, and maintain visual displays of work group activity and goals.
Requirements:
  • A 2 or 4-year degree in business management is preferred, as well as previous experience working in a foundry and supervisory experience in a union environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with grievance process, Lean manufacturing concepts, and OSHA requirements is also preferred.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
