Lifeguard

Job Summary:

The University of Akron is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Lifeguard. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain a safe swimming environment at all times
• Respond to aquatic emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
• Participate in regular training and drills to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on emergency procedures
• Collaborate with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure a smooth and safe operation

Requirements:

• Current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/AED
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies quickly and effectively

Working Conditions:
