Job Description

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of our ceramic products by conducting inspections and implementing process control methods. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Conduct pre-kiln inspections and inspect parts for critical-to-quality features using drawings and process cards.
  • Review manufacturing processes for correct procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings to team leaders and participate in communication with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments as required.

This role also involves supporting training for QC inspectors, investigating quality issues, and assisting in the development of test plans and measurement requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measurement equipment.
  • Strong interaction and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office software (Word and Excel).
  • Able to lift 50lbs unassisted.

Work Environment

The Quality Assurance Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud.

This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours, 1st (7:00 am - 3:30 pm), 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), or 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) schedules. Occasional Saturday/Sunday hours may be required.
