Cafe Server

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Cafe Server to join our team at Hilltop Ski Area. As a Cafe Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking and filling food and beverage orders, and ensuring quality and proper presentation in a timely manner.

• Provide exceptional guest service and ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
• Stocking/restocking items on the line according to specifications
• Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages and refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
• Observe guests' behavior once they have consumed alcoholic beverages and ask a manager for help with disorderly customers as needed
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform and maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
• Perform janitorial duties as assigned and perform other duties as directed

• Knowledge of over-the-counter retail sales and comfortable in using point of sale systems
• Ability to work independently, in a team environment, and with minimal supervision
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgment and work under pressure and prioritize workload
• Good organizational skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to work extended hours, various shifts, on holidays, and weekends as necessary
• Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage food handler's card or can have by time of hire
• Must have a current TAP certification or can complete certification
• Previous retail or over-the-counter food and beverage service preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older and pass a pre-employment background check
