This role presents a unique opportunity to delve into the forefront of AI privacy and contribute to the evolution of security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and lead strategic initiatives in Privacy Engineering.
- Create technical systems to enforce privacy measures.
- Collaborate with diverse teams across Character to establish a comprehensive framework and develop tools for anonymizing both user and third-party data.
- Work alongside the Legal department to define protocols for data minimization, retention, and deletion, and build the necessary technology to support these protocols.
- Partner with the Data team to implement effective data governance strategies.
- Collaborate with the Security team to address data protection challenges.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy-related projects or backend development.
- In-depth understanding of scalable data privacy solutions.
- Proficient in developing high-performance services, with strong expertise in Python and/or Golang.
- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
Salary range: $150K - $350K
