We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II Float to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist II Float, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, rotating through various patient service centers and meeting new people every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams
- Enter billing information and collect payment when required
- Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees, as well as serve as a resource advisor and point of contact for staff
- Travel to additional doctors' offices or patient service center sites as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Minimum two years of experience in a patient service center environment, preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment, preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience
