Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Partner to join our team at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality clinical support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to assigned patients under the direction of the RN.
  • Complete non-clinical procedures appropriately under the direction of the RN.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department management.
Requirements
  • Meet minimum education, certification, and/or experience requirements below.
  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Actively enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program with completion of at least one semester of clinical rotation.
    • Previous Nursing Care Partner experience at CHKD (within 2 years).
    • Completion of the nursing student extern program at CHKD.
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school program (without successful completion of the NCLEX board exam).
    • Certification as a nurse assistant.
    • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
    • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.
  • CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.
Working Conditions

Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like. Frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working conditions due to performance of certain patient care activities.
