Position Overview:

The Store Manager (SM) is accountable for the daily operations of a retail location, focusing on achieving sales targets, enhancing profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing inventory, and fostering team development. The SM will create a customer-centric environment that values diversity and inclusion, building lasting relationships with clients while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vision and Leadership: Clearly communicates performance expectations and ensures team members recognize their role in the company’s success. Provides coaching to staff to uphold brand standards and execute marketing strategies effectively.
  2. Customer Experience: Ensures that both team members and the manager deliver outstanding customer service consistently through effective training and communication. Empowers staff to address customer concerns and follow up on requests.
  3. Strategic Sales Management: Achieves sales goals set by the company and develops strategies to maximize sales potential. Monitors operations to identify areas for improvement and implements solutions to enhance performance.
  4. Team Development: Committed to the company’s People First philosophy, responsible for recruiting and nurturing talent to drive store success. Facilitates a comprehensive onboarding process and ongoing training in various operational areas.
  5. Diversity and Inclusion: Cultivates a respectful and professional work environment where all team members feel valued and motivated to contribute their best.
  6. Operational Excellence: Ensures compliance with company policies and maintains store cleanliness and organization. Achieves sales performance goals while managing expenses and payroll effectively.

Work Schedule:

  • Aims for a standard five-day, 40-hour work week during non-peak times.
  • Schedules should accommodate both opening and closing shifts, considering operational needs and customer traffic.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of retail sales experience plus 1 year of retail management experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and ability to build effective relationships with employees and customers.
  • Additional: Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to communicate effectively, stand, reach, and move between display cases. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The role may require working weekends, evenings, and holidays.
