Key Responsibilities:

Work Schedule:

Work schedules will vary based on the specific position and location, typically ranging from Monday to Friday, with hours between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, or 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Weekend shifts may be required up to six times a year.


Specific Duties:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing corrective exercise programs and treatment plans as directed by the supervising physical therapist. This includes administering various therapeutic modalities such as exercise, gait training, and massage.
  • Assisting patients with traction therapy to alleviate discomfort and guiding them in functional activities.
  • Monitoring patient progress during treatments and providing feedback to the supervising therapist.
  • Fitting and instructing patients on the use of orthopedic devices and mobility aids.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited institution recognized by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting within the last 5 years.
  • Certification/Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess relevant certification.
  • Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Security Clearance: Candidates must pass a government background check.

Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $40.00 to $45.00, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
