  • You will address unique challenges, including managing extensive context in biological sequences and integrating multi-modal data.
  • You will engage in solving complex AI research challenges at scale, focusing on critical components such as model architecture, scaling strategies, pre-training, fine-tuning, and thorough evaluation techniques.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass a range of Generative AI architectures, including transformers, autoencoders, GANs, and diffusion models, along with other deep learning frameworks.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • A Master's degree with 3 years of industry experience or a PhD with 2 years of research or industry experience in Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, or other relevant areas.
  • Proficiency in software development and executing complex experiments using Python, with experience in machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • A background in researching and developing deep learning and generative AI techniques.
  • Experience in scaling machine learning models within a cloud computing environment.
  • A commitment to producing high-quality, clean, efficient, and maintainable code, with a strong focus on suitable design patterns and software architectures.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating ownership of challenges and a dedication to overcoming them.
  • A mature perspective in ambiguous situations, capable of framing questions and seeking clarity while making informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for collaborating and guiding colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • A drive to make a meaningful impact and a commitment to addressing significant challenges with creativity and determination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First authorship on a publication or peer-reviewed conference paper in AI.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques in biological or chemical contexts.
  • Knowledge in physics, molecular biology, chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in developing efficient code in C/C++.
