Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technologist IV to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our electrophysiology department, you will work closely with physicians to manage implanted cardiac pacemaker and ICD devices, providing quality care to patients undergoing invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage device patients and their care, implementing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform adjustments to programming per order and troubleshoot basic, intermediate, and advanced device issues.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training on advanced mapping techniques and train newly hired EP personnel to master non-nursing technical skills.
  • Interrogate pacemakers and ICDs from all major manufacturers, analyze device function, and evaluate stored and real-time EKGs.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure best programming and notify them of abnormal findings.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in physical sciences or healthcare-related sciences or equivalent experience.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider and ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
  • 8 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and practice in 3D mapping, bloom stimulator, stereotaxis, and intracardiac echo.
  • Proficiency in programmed electrical stimulation and pacing protocols.
