Instrumentation Control Technician

Xylem is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Control Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect, program, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure adherence to quality and customer standards
  • Record and report abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiate corrective action and documentation
  • Provide daily records of inspection, maintenance activity, repair, and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures
  • Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon completion of repairs
  • Communicate with customer staff in the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment as necessary
  • Perform work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition
  • Understand and interpret programming logic (VFDs)
  • Run off/testing of electrical enclosures
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing equipment or equivalent
  • Certification/licensing as required by federal, state, or local law
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow, and pressure
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite and ERP systems
  • Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specification manuals
  • Must be able to read and understand detailed layout, P&ID diagrams, and assembly drawings
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment
  • Working knowledge of computers/PLCs
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints

Xylem offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $103,500.00, based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
