STG International is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team and provide essential medical services at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic. This role is crucial in delivering comprehensive healthcare to our enrolled patients, ensuring they receive high-quality care in accordance with the Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver primary and preventive medical services to address the physical, mental, and emotional needs of patients.
- Supervise the daily operations of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Participate in the orientation and training of clinical staff, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
- Lead and mentor CBOC clinicians to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Evaluate and improve existing clinical methods and procedures, contributing to the overall quality performance improvement initiatives.
- Manage patient care, including mental health screenings and medication management, while promoting wellness and preventive care.
- Document all relevant patient information accurately in the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess a Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited institution, along with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. An active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice is required, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
Working Conditions:This position requires moderate physical activity, including the ability to handle average-weight objects and stand or walk for extended periods. The work environment is primarily office-based, with responsibilities that may require responding to medical emergencies.
