Position Summary:
As a Microbiologist II, you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Control Microbiology team, ensuring compliance with microbiological testing standards and supporting various projects within CAPS pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the activities of the Microbiological Laboratory in alignment with internal and external standards while optimizing costs.
• Supervise all test operations, including Sterility Testing, Bacterial Endotoxin Testing, and Microbiological Identification.
• Ensure timely execution of microbiological tests in accordance with specifications and methods, facilitating the release of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
• Prepare and maintain GMP/ISO procedures relevant to the laboratory's responsibilities.
• Engage in collaborative projects with production teams as needed.
• Conduct trend analysis and compile data on production deviations when necessary.
• Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to the Global Microbiology Task Team.
• Oversee microbiological release processes for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
• Support microbiological tasks related to process validation.
• Provide training and development for team members to enhance their expertise.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in educational training.
• Previous supervisory experience in a relevant field.
• cGMP and aseptic processing training/experience are essential.
