Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Kensington Senior Living, LLC. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing painting services to our entire facility, working closely with other maintenance and housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with apartment turnover, renovations, and painting projects.
  • Communicate with supervisors to determine painting requirements and assist with project planning.
  • Assemble scaffolding as needed and set up safety equipment to protect yourself and others from unhealthy fumes.
  • Cover surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings to prevent damage.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, filling holes and cracks, and sanding until smooth.
  • Apply primer and sealers to ensure paint adheres properly.
  • Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to meet job specifications.
  • Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Knowledge of standard hand and power tools is required.
  • Complete work requests for repairs in resident suites and common areas.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in organized, clean, and like-new condition.
  • Attend training courses and participate in professional development activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Good physical health and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to push a minimum of 200 pounds and push such weight a minimum distance of 200 feet.
  • May be necessary to assist in resident evacuation during emergencies.
