This position collaborates closely with Enterprise Architects, IT leadership, and business units to ensure that business strategies effectively meet the evolving needs of the member base.
The primary responsibility of an Infrastructure Solutions Architect is to design technology solutions that support the long-term technology vision of the organization. This includes creating solution architecture diagrams, defining architecture standards, compiling research notes, generating reports on industry best practices, and delivering presentations.
This role also involves providing indirect leadership throughout the solution ideation, design, and implementation phases. The architect communicates architectural concepts to stakeholders and collaborates with existing technical architects during the solution ideation and design stages. Adherence to IT standards and processes is essential, as is contributing to the development of an architecture program that includes roadmaps for IT systems architecture.
Ensuring that solutions are not only purpose-fit but also align closely with technology standards is vital. This guarantees that systems are designed for maximum uptime, effective monitoring, automated resilience, robust security, and optimal enterprise performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Direction of IT Solutions and Processes:
Develop solution architecture artifacts that align with the technology roadmap of Ent Credit Union. Ensure that architectures are adaptable, scalable, and responsive to directional changes across the organization. Review architecture artifacts with business and technology stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and strategic roadmaps. Provide recommendations on tools and technologies that enhance the organization’s scalability, efficiency, and performance.
Conduct research on industry best practices and leading technologies to advise business partners and influence the strategic direction of the organization.
Ensure sustainable security and operational integrity while leveraging top-tier technology design. Adhere to architectural standards and governance in accordance with the enterprise technology roadmap, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.Collaboration with IT:
Create solution architecture artifacts and work collaboratively to ensure alignment with business and technology strategies. Review solution architecture artifacts with Enterprise Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders during the Architecture Review Board sessions.
Advise on and assist with the establishment of new processes within IT to support enterprise architecture functions. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to integrate solution architecture artifacts into modeling software, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the people, processes, and technology involved in solutions.
Collaboration with Business Leadership:
Engage with line-of-business leaders to gain insights into their technology requirements and business strategies.
Cost Analysis and Vendor Management:
Assess solutions that can reduce IT costs. Collaborate with key vendors and partners as necessary to meet project timelines. Engage with vendors to explore cost-saving solutions.
Compliance with Regulations:
Maintain awareness of and adhere to Ent Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations, particularly those related to the Bank Secrecy Act.
