Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at The Bell Minor Home. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality resident care and support, promoting a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning of residents
  • Record vital signs, weights, and measurements, and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse
  • Participate in collecting data for the MDS and plan of care, and provide input to nurses for development of the plan
  • Prepare residents for meals, transport them to the dining room, and assist with feeding as needed
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output, and assist with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection
  • Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control, and take TPR, blood pressure, and weighing of residents as directed
  • Promptly answer call lights and other resident needs, and utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state
  • Maintain CPR Certification
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Organized and detailed in work performance, with good communication skills and self-discipline
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make decisions quickly, and interact with residents, personnel, visitors, and government agencies under all conditions and circumstances. You may be subject to call-back during emergency conditions, and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and hazardous chemicals.
