Position Overview:

Our team is in search of a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a robust background in mechanical and industrial engineering. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a dynamic setting where safety, quality, and ongoing enhancement are essential. The Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing or refining equipment to optimize our refurbishment processes for high-purity precursor delivery containers utilized in the semiconductor sector. This position requires collaboration across various engineering disciplines, production teams, EHS, vendors, and contract manufacturers. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capability to manage and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and design new equipment to enhance the refurbishment of high-purity specialty containers.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including milestones and deliverables for new equipment design.
  • Utilize diverse inputs to create a comprehensive specification document that outlines all project aspects.
  • Oversee capital projects aimed at expanding manufacturing capabilities and enhancing safety and reliability in existing processes.
  • Collaborate with various functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Production, Chemists, EHS, Facilities, Product Management, and Project Leaders to achieve business goals.
  • Employ SolidWorks for equipment and subcomponent design, and source or create fixtures to accommodate various form factors and process flows.
  • Partner with Engineers, Facilities, and Operations to establish preventative maintenance programs for new assets.
  • Utilize current floor layouts and new asset specifications to optimize manufacturing cell areas in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Generate necessary documentation for new and modified equipment and containers, including drawings, bills of material, P&IDs, and part numbers.
  • Exhibit a hands-on approach to project scope and timelines, assisting team members in delivering project objectives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment within the engineering domain.
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Materials is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, Mechanical Design, and Development.
  • Understanding of Risk Analysis, FMEA, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Maintenance and Reliability.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred) is a plus.
  • Ability to mentor and support colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in a global, multicultural organization serving the semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of Materials of Construction and their interactions with corrosive chemicals.
  • Assess robotics and automation designs to enhance ergonomics and reduce manual tasks.
