Director of Early Portfolio Optimization

About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Portfolio Operations Strategist to join our team at Recursion. As a key member of our Business Operations group, you will be responsible for optimizing our industrialized workflows and ensuring seamless execution of complex projects.
In this role, you will develop, refine, and continuously improve our industrialized workflows, integrating and streamlining processes across phenomics, transcriptomics, and ADME platforms to maximize throughput and minimize bottlenecks. You will also partner with data scientists, chemists, biologists, automation specialists, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth and coordinated execution of complex projects. Additionally, you will work with senior leaders across the company to incorporate strategic company and portfolio priorities into the sequencing and scheduling of workflow data production.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing and refining industrialized workflows to optimize process efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and coordination
- Working with senior leaders to integrate strategic priorities into workflow data production
- Deploying advanced project management tools and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Clearly communicating operational performance and process improvements to internal teams and external partners
About You: To succeed in this role, you will need a strong scientific background and experience in operations or program management within techbio, pharmaceutical, or early drug discovery settings. You should be adept at aligning diverse teams and projects with overarching strategic priorities and have excellent communication skills to convey complex operational insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A passion for building and optimizing processes that drive efficiency and impact is essential.
