Job Summary

As a skilled Registered Nurse in our Recovery Room, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals and families in a fast-paced, acute clinical environment. Guided by the Sarasota Memorial Hospital nursing professional practice model and adhering to the American Nurses Association's Standards of Professional Practice, you will deliver high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients and families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, identifying and responding to changes in their status.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or diploma program.
  • Previous experience in PACU, ER, or ICU settings.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Required Licenses and Certifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
