Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce CPQ Engineer to join our team at Splunk Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our SFDC CPQ application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and configure SFDC CPQ, including Apex code, Custom Objects, Workflow Rules, and Visual Force Pages.
  • Develop and maintain technical design documents related to system architecture.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of all business system processes and users to understand functional impacts.
  • Support the integration of CPQ application to SAP ERP.
  • Configure fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, and reports.
  • Experience in crafting/updating system documentation, including configuration changes, data mapping requirements, and functional designs.
  • Document and maintain standardization, and seek ways to constantly improve processes and procedures.
  • Validate software quality and conformance to specifications and business requirements through unit-functional testing.
  • Collaborate with management, project managers, business analysts, and finance business teams to scope work and produce estimates.
  • Provide pre- and post-implementation technical support.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of proficiency in deploying and maintaining large-scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce and associated ecosystem.
  • Experience integrating the Salesforce platform with internal and external systems.
  • Deep understanding of overall Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Programming background using one or more of the languages such as APEX, Visualforce, Java, Python.
  • Enterprise integration architectures such as SOA, RESTful, ETL.
  • A deep understanding of software testing with knowledge on building test plans and executing them in unit, functional, and user acceptance test cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of CPQ, SaaS, and subscription billing processes.
  • Understanding of Quoting, Opportunity Management, and Order Management processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • The desire to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to self-train quickly and pick up new skills as necessary.
Education

Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent years of industry experience.
