Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process prescriptions and interact with customers to provide a positive experience.
  • Manage inventory, perform non-sterile and/or sterile compounding, and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy leadership with various tasks and duties.

Education and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must meet one of the following education/experience categories:

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician with continuous registration as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of a board-approved technician training program.
  • Completion of the Essentia Health employer-based technician training program within one year of hire.
  • Continuous registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Intern.

Licensure and Certification:

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hold state registration in the state where you will be working.
  • Earn and maintain Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) within 2 years of hire.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a Day/Eve Rotation schedule. You will not be required to work weekends or holidays.
