Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook / Pizza Cook to join our culinary team at Park Side Diner. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards.

• Food Preparation: Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Cooking and Seasoning: Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Food Storage and Handling: Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Quality Control: Check for quality, keep track of old and new items, and rotate stock to ensure freshness of food and ingredients.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff and consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: A few months to one year of related experience
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, monitoring, coordination, and active listening
