Job Title: Caregiver

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers at Milestone, Inc. - Rockford. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

About the Role

As a Caregiver, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities and medication administration.
  • Facilitating recreational and social activities to promote a sense of joy and belonging among residents.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthful environment, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Providing safe transportation for residents, utilizing defensive driving skills and adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Fostering positive relationships with residents, families, guardians, and fellow staff members, promoting teamwork and problem-solving.
  • Embracing opportunities for growth and development, participating in training programs and staying up-to-date with best practices in caregiving.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum age of 18, with completion of Habilitation Aide Training within the first 30 days of employment.
  • A High School diploma or GED, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A safe driving record and approved driver, ensuring the safety of our residents during transportation.
  • The ability to intervene physically in behavioral or health-related crises, providing support and assistance when needed.
