Deburring Specialist

HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO seeks a skilled Deburring Specialist to join our team in producing high-precision component parts.

This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, ability to understand operation sheets and blueprints, and experience with deburring equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.

• Operate deburring equipment to produce highly precision component parts.
• Check products to meet all blueprint or operations specifications.
• Perform minor set-ups on deburring equipment and obtain necessary tooling, gages, and materials.
• Deburring, polishing, tumbling, and rounding edges of product to be consistent with blueprint operations sheet specifications.
• Measure parts using micrometers, Vernier, Optical Comparer, dial bores, pin gages.
• Perform visual inspections and actual dimensional verification.
• Replace worn or damaged tooling as necessary.
• Verify and record part count prior to and upon completion of work.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand operation sheets/blueprints/specifications and applicable company/customer paperwork.
• Quality-minded with willingness and ability to cross-train in other areas to provide support for cells.
• One year plus experience in a machine shop or deburring environment.

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
