HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO seeks a skilled Deburring Specialist to join our team in producing high-precision component parts.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, ability to understand operation sheets and blueprints, and experience with deburring equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Operate deburring equipment to produce highly precision component parts.
- Check products to meet all blueprint or operations specifications.
- Perform minor set-ups on deburring equipment and obtain necessary tooling, gages, and materials.
- Deburring, polishing, tumbling, and rounding edges of product to be consistent with blueprint operations sheet specifications.
- Measure parts using micrometers, Vernier, Optical Comparer, dial bores, pin gages.
- Perform visual inspections and actual dimensional verification.
- Replace worn or damaged tooling as necessary.
- Verify and record part count prior to and upon completion of work.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand operation sheets/blueprints/specifications and applicable company/customer paperwork.
- Quality-minded with willingness and ability to cross-train in other areas to provide support for cells.
- One year plus experience in a machine shop or deburring environment.
$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
