Position Overview:


The Logistics Technician is responsible for managing supply chain operations from the initial receipt to the final distribution of both official and unofficial inventory, as well as various supplies and equipment handled by the Materials Management Department Distribution Center.

This role involves utilizing advanced computer software and devices to accurately input all necessary inventory data into the Supply Chain Management system, ensuring effective storage practices through FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) methodologies. The technician will also conduct routine cycle counts and physical inspections to verify product integrity and expiration dates.

Additionally, the technician may operate a box truck or cargo van as part of their duties.

Key Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and twisting is essential. Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management are also required.
