About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intensive Outpatient Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City, California. This is a full-time position offering an estimated annual salary of $125,000 to $170,000.
Job Summary: As an Intensive Outpatient Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and/or child members. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each member's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Mental Health Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and personality disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our team of healthcare professionals.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and interventions to members experiencing acute mental health crises.
- Psychotherapy: Offer evidence-based psychotherapies, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, to promote symptom reduction, improved coping skills, and enhanced overall well-being.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with treating physicians, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Requirements:
- Education: PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure: Must be licensed as a psychologist in the state of California within six months of hire.
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating adults and children with complex mental health needs.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DSM-V and ability to apply its diagnostic criteria.
- Experience with crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and psychological testing techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
