Job Summary

The University of Denver is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Strength and Conditioning Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports science, a passion for athletic performance, and a proven track record of working with athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of hockey, skating, and skiing athletes.
  • Create periodized training plans that align with the competitive calendar and individual athlete goals.
  • Utilize a variety of training modalities, including resistance training, plyometrics, speed and agility drills, and cardiovascular conditioning.
Requirements
  • Experience working with winter sports athletes: hockey, skating, skiing.
  • Current Personal Training certification (i.e. ACE, NASM, NSCA).
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification.
Work Schedule

This is a temporary, part-time position working weekday afternoons and evenings.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $40.00-$60.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
