Job Summary

Prince Industries LLC is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating press brakes and other machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic workpieces to precise specifications.

This is a second-shift position, working 2:30pm - 1am, Monday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Inspect production parts for defects and report any issues to your supervisor.
  • Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using measuring instruments and equipment.
  • Use statistical process control techniques to optimize production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers to understand production requirements.
  • Perform machine startup, adjust tooling, and replace broken or worn tooling as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to resolve problems.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including tags, inspection documents, and production logs.
  • Transport finished materials to designated areas.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Previous experience in machine operation, apprenticeship, or formal training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in the fabrication industry.
Qualifications
  • Ability to recognize and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral or written instructions.
  • Intermediate shop math skills and calculations.
  • Knowledge of Prince Industries quality policy and standards.
  • Basic computer skills for data collection and input.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and use problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of machine equipment and tooling requirements.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Regularly stand and reach for extended periods.
  • Frequently talk or hear.
  • Occasionally walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision with 20/20 or corrected vision to 20/20.
