We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Amentum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC, process systems, and rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop HVAC systems for large projects, including process flow, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and system descriptions.
- Develop and maintain mechanical equipment lists, perform sizing calculations, and conduct vendor document reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ASRAE, ARI, NFPA, SMACN, and ASME National Codes and Standards.
- Perform field walk-downs as needed to ensure quality and safety standards.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in the nuclear or commercial industry.
- Knowledge of 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design and experience in the DOE complex preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization, including US Citizenship.
