Job Summary
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Outpatient is seeking a licensed physical therapist to join our high-energy orthopedic environment. As a physical therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient care and contributing to the rapid growth of our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Manage a patient case load of 10-12 patients per day, providing timely and effective care.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans using Therapy Source, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including medical notes and surgery reports, to inform treatment decisions.
- Transcribe and process medical orders accurately, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare teams.
- Promote continuous quality improvement by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes.
- Provide instruction and counseling to patients and families as needed, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
We require a current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a physical therapist. Additionally, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within the first 90 days of employment is necessary.
