Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our Robotics Surgery team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in surgical techniques, exceptional clinical abilities, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a fast-paced surgical setting. This role demands a strong dedication to delivering superior patient care throughout the surgical journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage surgical patients in the operating room, ensuring all essential equipment and instruments are ready for robotic interventions.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and educate patients and their families about the surgical procedures and recovery processes.
  • Work closely with the surgical team to formulate and execute comprehensive perioperative care strategies.
  • Assist in robotic-assisted surgical procedures, providing necessary support to the lead surgeon.
  • Monitor patients during surgeries and throughout their recovery, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
  • Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Engage in quality improvement projects and contribute to the ongoing success of the Robotics Surgery Program.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant in Maryland.
  • Prior experience in a surgical or operating room environment preferred, particularly with a focus on robotics or minimally invasive techniques.
  • Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to work effectively within a team.
