Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for coordinating daily HR functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate aspects of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes
  • Manage HR training and reporting, I-9 forms, and compliance
  • Prepare position postings, monitor and manage positions on the recruiting platform
  • Participate in new employee orientation and prepare PAF paperwork for personnel actions
  • Verify information into HRS (BANNER) system and coordinate hiring documents for part-time, temporary, and adjunct staff
  • Manage background check process, reconcile monthly invoices, and prepare check requests
  • Act as liaison for updates to College website and Human Resources website
  • Coordinate hiring process for student workers and schedule HR training events
  • Manage employee annual training and annual disclosure forms
  • Ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources, or related field
  • Four years of work experience in business office environment, human resources related experience preferred
  • Two years of customer service working with public
  • Knowledge of Banner preferred
