Position Overview:
As an Information Technology Specialist (PROJMGT), you will take on the pivotal role of overseeing various agency programs, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will encompass a range of responsibilities, including:

  1. Formulating comprehensive plans, defining tasks, setting milestone dates, and creating schedules to guarantee the effective sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the program/project lifecycle.
  2. Evaluating programs/projects to identify methods for execution with minimal disruption to personnel and mission operations, ensuring timely adherence to directives and schedules.
  3. Engaging in regular planning sessions, fostering productive interactions with team members, reporting on progress, and monitoring ongoing work.
  4. Establishing program objectives and metrics to assess the achievement of goals.
  5. Managing both short- and long-term planning activities, including multi-year work plans derived from subordinate projects/programs.
  6. Drafting guidance and directives related to program management and reporting.
  7. Implementing a thorough evaluation system for analyzing proposed costs, program development, and performance.
  8. Participating in meetings with stakeholders to assess program status, milestones, and coordination efforts, proactively identifying potential deficiencies and formulating improvement plans.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet specific conditions of employment. This role requires a strong background in IT project management, including:

  • Administering and managing complex IT projects, controlling costs, scheduling, and performance risks from inception to completion.
  • Developing and presenting project briefings for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Interpreting and revising existing policies and regulatory guidance to ensure alignment with federal agency goals.
