Childcare Specialist

Westminster Preschool is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Specialist to join our team. As a Closer, you will be the last point of contact for families when they pick up their children, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. Your role will involve communicating with families, sending children home with encouraging words, and ensuring the building is properly shut down at the end of the day.

• Provide exceptional customer service to families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure the building is properly secured and prepared for reopening the next business day.
• Assist with various tasks and duties as assigned by the director, including cleaning, maintenance, and administrative tasks.
• Support the mission and goals of Westminster Preschool, promoting our philosophy and educational objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to learn and utilize specialized software for parent and staff communication.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
• CPR/First Aid/Universal Precautions certification required, with annual recertification.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background check, and FSSA background check.

The Childcare Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with children, families, and staff on a daily basis. The position requires the ability to lift a child weighing at least 40 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, sit on the floor, and rise from the floor without adult assistance. The Specialist must also be able to stand for prolonged periods and move about the building at a quick pace as needed.
