Student Caseload: K-8 students, primarily focusing on delivering services in math, reading, and executive functioning.

Compensation: Starting at $32 per hour, with weekly payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and development.
  • Implementing differentiated teaching methods and adjusting instructional strategies to cater to each student's unique learning requirements.
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress, documenting successes, and identifying areas needing improvement.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators, specialists, and families to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Employing a variety of teaching techniques, materials, and resources to enrich the learning experience.
  • Integrating assistive technology and adaptive tools as necessary to support student engagement and independence.
  • Observing and addressing students' social and emotional growth, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
  • Providing continuous feedback and encouragement to students, celebrating their successes, and fostering a positive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid teaching certification or credential in Special Education.
  • Experience working with young learners with special needs.
  • Understanding of developmental milestones and effective practices in early childhood special education.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and the capability to develop and implement them proficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and support personnel.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
