Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Peoria Area Veterinary Group of Dunlap. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinic's mission to deliver top-notch medicine and compassion to our furry friends.

• Provide direct support to our veterinary team, ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.
• Assist with animal handling, restraint, and care, including walking and administering medication as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of our boarding area and clinic, restocking supplies and ensuring a comfortable environment for our patients.
• Participate in continuing education and skill-building opportunities to advance your knowledge and expertise in animal care.

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinical setting, preferably in a kennel or animal care role.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and safety.
