Role Summary

The Blood Collection Specialist will be tasked with drawing blood and collecting specimens from patients in our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages
  • Gather specimens for a variety of laboratory tests
  • Accurately enter patient information into the system
  • Prepare all collected specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Phlebotomy Certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
  • Experience in drawing blood from patients of all ages
  • Strong customer service skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands

While executing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment (PC, telephone, file cabinets, copier, postage meter, fax machine, and printer). The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel to healthcare practices may be necessary.
