Music Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified Music Teacher to join our team at Torrington Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music to elementary school students, including instrumental music, general music, and chorus.

• Teach music to elementary school students, including instrumental music, general music, and chorus
• Develop and implement music curriculum that aligns with state and national standards
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a comprehensive music education
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in music education

• CT State Department of Education Certification in Music K-12 endorsement #049
• Experience teaching music to elementary school students
• Ability to develop and implement music curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
