Oncology Nurse Manager

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Nurse Manager to lead our Radiation Oncology department. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the clinical operations of our multi-disciplinary team, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and expedite clinical operations, including evaluating capacity and responding to volume and on-call demands.
- Direct, delegate, and monitor quality of care delivered by the healthcare team.
- Function within and across interdisciplinary teams to promote coordination, mutual respect, and timely response to patient health care needs.
- Recognize the impact of systems on healthcare delivery and facilitate development of workflows and pathways to ensure coordination of care across all settings.
- Facilitate huddles, promote and model effective, respectful communication, and utilize critical thinking to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Identify and evaluate operational clinical needs and resolve concerns early, role-modeling and facilitating change within the healthcare team to respond to emerging practice and organizational needs.
- Manage all resources to support optimal care of patients seeking primary care services in the clinic, telephonically, and electronically.
- Model and promote healthcare team building and leadership skills, applying leadership skills to facilitate effective team functioning and operations of the department.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships across roles and departments to ensure timely access to emerging needs of patients.
- 5 years of Oncology nursing experience, with leadership experience (e.g., charge, NIC).
- 5 years of Radiation Oncology nursing experience preferred, with pediatric Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
- Procedural experience preferred.
- Continually update clinical knowledge and skills through formal and informal education and review of current literature.
- Proven ability to work well independently, possess sound decision-making skills, and work effectively when required to make and facilitate complex decisions.
